Soldered PCA9685 MicroPython Library

Note: this board is not yet released.

This library drives boards built around the PCA9685, a 16-channel, 12-bit PWM/servo driver controlled over I2C (default address 0x40). Each channel can independently drive a servo or LED with its own on/off timing within the PWM period, using an internal oscillator so the microcontroller doesn't need to hold the signal - up to 62 boards can be daisy-chained on one I2C bus (992 channels) via address pins.

How to install

After installing the mpremote package (opens in a new tab), install the library on your board using the following command:

  mpremote mip install github:SolderedElectronics/Soldered-PCA9685-MicroPython-Library

Or, if you're running a Windows OS:

  python -m mpremote mip install github:SolderedElectronics/Soldered-PCA9685-MicroPython-Library
