Soldered DE2120 MicroPython Library

The DE2120 is a compact embedded 2D/1D barcode scan engine (manufactured by DYScan) that reads 20+ barcode symbologies - from UPC/EAN codes to QR codes and Data Matrix - using a 640x480 CMOS image sensor with onboard image processing, white illumination LEDs, and a red aiming reticle. It communicates over TTL serial (UART) at 9600 bps using ASCII commands, with the module returning an ACK (0x06) or NACK (0x15) byte and sending decoded barcode results as plain ASCII strings.

How to install

After installing the mpremote package (opens in a new tab), install the library on your board using the following command:

  mpremote mip install github:SolderedElectronics/Soldered-DE2120-MicroPython-Library

Or, if you're running a Windows OS:

  python -m mpremote mip install github:SolderedElectronics/Soldered-DE2120-MicroPython-Library
